2022–23 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2022–23 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2022, followed by the start of the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in December and ended in February. The season was the first with 12 teams in the conference with Belmont, Murray State and UIC joining the conference. 2022–23 Belmont Bruins Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Belmont Bruins men's basketball team represented Belmont University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bruins, led by fourth-year head coach Casey Alexander, played their home games at the Curb Event Center in Nashville, Tennessee as first-year members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the season 21–10, 14–6 in MVC Play to finish in a tie for third place. They were defeated by Indiana State in the quarterfinals of the MVC tournament. Rienk Johannes Mast (born 19 July 2001) is a Dutch college basketball player for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Standing at , Mast usually plays the power forward or center position. He is a current member of the Dutch national basketball team. Early career After playing korfball first as a kid, Mast switched to basketball for the club Celeritas-Donar from Groningen. Marcus Domask ( ; born June 9, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Skyliners Frankfurt of the Basketball Bundesliga. He played college basketball for the Illinois Fighting Illini of the Big Ten Conference. Prior to that he played for the Southern Illinois Salukis. High school career Domask played high school basketball at Waupun Area High School in Waupun, Wisconsin, where he led the team to their first-ever state title as a freshman in 2016, as well as a runner-up state finish as a senior in 2019. The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference whose schools compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I. Loyola Ramblers Men's Basketball
The Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represents Loyola University Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. The Ramblers participate as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Ramblers joined the Missouri Valley Conference in 2013, and stayed until 2022. Prior to 2013, the team had spent 34 seasons as a charter member of the Horizon League. The 2022–23 Murray State Racers men's basketball team represented Murray State University in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Racers were led by head coach Steve Prohm, who was in his first season (fifth overall) with the Racers, and played their home games at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky as first-year members of the Missouri Valley Conference. The 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 7, 2022. The regular season ended on March 12, 2023, with the 2023 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament beginning with the First Four on March 14 and ending with the championship game at NRG Stadium in Houston on April 3.
