The 2022–23 Liga Națională season is the 73rd season of the Liga Națională, the highest professional basketball league in Romania. This will be the season with 18 teams divided into two conferences, placed by the previous regular season's standing. U-BT Cluj-Napoca are the defending champions. FC Argeș Piteşti Basketball is a Romanian professional basketball club, based in Piteşti, Romania. The club competes in the Liga Națională, and has also been named in recent years CS Universitatea, BCM Piteşti and BCMUS Argeş Piteşti, CSU Piteşti, BCM U Piteşti and BCM U FC Argeș Piteşti. Horia Demian Sports Hall (), part of the city's Splaiul Independenţei sports complex, is a multi-use arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It is used as the home ground of both the men's and women's handball and basketball teams of CS Universitatea Cluj-Napoca. It holds 2,525 seats. The BTarena is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The arena was previously called the Polyvalent Hall but was renamed on 17 October 2017 when the facility entered into a new arena-naming rights agreement with Banca Transilvania. The venue holds 10,000 people in its largest configuration. The building is located next to the Cluj Arena. History The arena opened on 21 October 2014.
