2022–23 Iona Gaels Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Iona Gaels women's basketball team represented Iona College in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Gaels, led by tenth-year head coach Billi Chambers, played their home games at Hynes Athletic Center, are members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Previous season The Gaels finished the 2021–22 season 11–16, 8–12 in MAAC play to finish in eighth place. As an 8th seed in the MAAC they defeated Rider in the first round before losing to Fairfield in the quarterfinals. Billi Chambers
Billi Chambers (née Godsey) is an American women's basketball coach who is the current head coach for the Xavier Musketeers women's basketball, Xavier Musketeers. She was previously the head coach for Iona Gaels women's basketball, Iona. Playing career Chambers played at Hofstra for 4 years playing in 78 games and making 23 starts. Coaching career Chambers started her coaching career at Molloy College, Molloy, where she was an assistant, before serving as an assistant at UMBC and Virginia Tech. She got her first head coaching job for Iona Gaels women's basketball, Iona where she would coach for ten years. In those ten years she put up an 141–153 record, while winning the MAAC conference tournament twice, making the NCAA Tournament twice losing in the first round both times. Franklin Pierce Ravens
The Franklin Pierce Ravens are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Franklin Pierce University, located in Rindge, New Hampshire, in NCAA sporting competitions. Franklin Pierce competes at the Division II level in 22 varsity sports. In terms of conferences, the Ravens are primarily members of the Northeast-10 Conference, of which it has been a member since 2000. NYIT Bears
The New York Tech Bears were the athletic teams that represented the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) located in Old Westbury, New York, United States in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division II ranks, primarily competing in the East Coast Conference (ECC; originally called as the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) until after the 2005–06 academic year) from 1989–90 until their last season of competition in the 2019–20 school year before the university announced its suspension until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. James Madison High School is a public high school in Midwood, Brooklyn. It serves students in grades 9 through 12 and is in Region 6 of the New York City Department of Education. The Marquette Golden Eagles women's basketball team represents Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States.
