2022–23 Holy Cross Crusaders Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team represented the College of the Holy Cross during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Crusaders, led by third-year head coach Maureen Magarity, played their home games at the Hart Center in Worcester, Massachusetts and were members of the Patriot League. The Crusaders finished the season 24–8, 13–5 in Patriot League play, to finish in second place. As a No. 2 seed in the Patriot women's tournament they defeated American in the quarterfinals, Lehigh in the semifinals and Boston University in the championship game. They received an automatic to the NCAA women's tournament where they lost in the first round to Maryland. Maureen Magarity
Maureen Elizabeth Magarity (born March 4, 1981) is an American women's basketball coach, whose last job was head coach of the Holy Cross Crusaders women's basketball team from 2020 to 2024. From 2010 to 2020, she coached New Hampshire Wildcats women's basketball, New Hampshire. Early life and education Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania raised in Wappingers Falls, New York, Magarity graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, New York, Poughkeepsie in 1999. At Our Lady of Lourdes, Magarity averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds in her senior basketball season and was a USA Today All-USA high school basketball team, ''USA Today'' Honorable Mention All-American.
