2022–23 Fordham Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Fordham Rams men's basketball team represented Fordham University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rams, led by first-year head coach Keith Urgo, played their home games at Rose Hill Gymnasium in The Bronx, New York as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. This was the Rams' first 20-win season since the 1990–91 season. They finished the season 25-8, 12-6 in A-10 Play for a three-way tie for 2nd place. They defeated La Salle in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament before losing to Dayton in the semifinals. Despite having 25 wins, they didn’t participate in a postseason tournament. Previous season The Rams finished the 2021–22 season 16–16, 8–10 in A-10 play to finish in eighth place. Keith Urgo
Keith Urgo (born April 25, 1980) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach of the Fordham Rams men's basketball program in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Early years and playing career Urgo was born in Washington D.C. the 8th of 10 children to parents originally from Brooklyn; his father attended Fordham University, Fordham. Urgo attended Gonzaga College High School. For college, he attended Fairfield University where he was a dual sport athlete, playing basketball and lacrosse. Coaching career After graduating from college, Urgo founded the Nonprofit organization, non-profit organization, Playing for Peace. He began his coaching career in 2004 as an assistant coach for Gonzaga College High School, his former high school before leaving in 2008 for Villanova Wildcats men's basketball, Villanova, where he started off as a video assistant before becoming the teams director of basketball operations. 2022 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2022 Atlantic 10 men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the 2021–22 season of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). It was held March 9–13, 2022, in Washington, D.C., at the Capital One Arena. The winner of the tournament, the Richmond Spiders, received the conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA tournament. Seeds All 14 A-10 schools participated in the tournament. Teams were seeded by winning percentage within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical percentages. The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina, United States. Kyle Neptune
Kyle Neptune (born January 21, 1985) is an American basketball coach. He most recently served as head coach of the Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team. Playing career Neptune attended Brooklyn Friends School, and was a member of the school's 2003 State Championship team, recording a school record in points with 1,650. He played collegiate basketball at Lehigh under Billy Taylor where he was a member of the Mountain Hawks' 2004 NCAA tournament team. Coaching career Neptune's coaching career began in 2008 as a video coordinator under Jay Wright at Villanova and was on staff for the Wildcats' 2009 Final Four appearance.
