2022–23 Florida Panthers Season
The 2022–23 Florida Panthers season was the 29th season for the National Hockey League franchise that was established in 1993. It is the Panthers' 24th season at FLA Live Arena. This is the Panthers' first season under new head coach Paul Maurice. The Panthers qualified for the playoffs after the Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins each lost their games on April 11, 2023. After barely clinching a wild card spot in the playoffs, the Panthers were set to face the Boston Bruins, who had set the NHL record for most wins and points in a season. After being down 3–1 in the series, the Panthers came back and won the series in overtime in Game 7 to pull off one of the biggest upsets in NHL history. The Panthers would then upset the Toronto Maple Leafs to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 27 years. The Atlantic Division is a name used by the National Hockey League to describe a division of teams in the Eastern Conference (NHL), Eastern Conference. The original Atlantic Division, the predecessor of which was the Patrick Division, was formed in 1993 as part of the Eastern Conference in a league realignment. Andrew Brunette
Andrew D. Brunette (born August 24, 1973) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League (NHL). As a player, Brunette played over 1,100 career games in the NHL with the Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, Atlanta Thrashers, Minnesota Wild, Colorado Avalanche, and Chicago Blackhawks between 1996 and 2012. He previously served as interim head coach for the Florida Panthers, as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils, and as the Wild's assistant general manager. The 2022–23 Vegas Golden Knights season was the sixth season for the National Hockey League franchise that started playing in the 2017–18 season.
