2022–23 Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Florida Gators men's basketball team represented the University of Florida during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by first-year head coach Todd Golden, and played their home games at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 16–15, 9–9 in SEC Play to finish in eighth place. As the No. 8 seed in the SEC tournament, they lost in the second round to Mississippi State. Todd Golden
Todd Raymond Golden (born July 7, 1985) is an Israeli-American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Florida Gators men's basketball team. In the 2024–25 season, Golden led the Gators to a 36–4 record and the national championship. Early life and education Golden is from Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Sunnyslope High School in 2003. Golden played basketball and baseball at Sunnyslope and helped them win the 2002 Arizona 4A state championship in basketball, scoring 6 of their 62 points in a 62–61 victory. In 2003, Golden enrolled at Saint Mary's College of California, where he played guard for the Saint Mary's Gaels from 2004 to 2008. 2021–22 Iona Gaels Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Iona Gaels men's basketball team represented Iona College in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Gaels, led by second-year head coach Rick Pitino, played their home games at the Hynes Athletic Center in New Rochelle, New York as members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Tyree Appleby (born September 30, 1998) is an American basketball player for Mykonos of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He played for the Cleveland State Vikings, Florida Gators and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. College career After starring at Jacksonville High School in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Appleby signed with coach Dennis Felton at Cleveland State. After a freshman season where he averaged 11.8 points and 4 assists per game and earned Horizon League all-freshman team honors, the point guard matured into one of the top players in the conference as a sophomore. The Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represents Kansas State University in college basketball competition. The program is classified in the NCAA Division I, and is a member of the Big 12 Conference. The head coach is Jerome Tang. The program began competition in 1902. Anthony M. Duruji (born July 22, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for Saint-Chamond Basket of the LNB Pro B. He played college basketball for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Florida Gators. High school career Duruji is a native of Germantown, Maryland, and played basketball at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland. He reached the 1,000 career points mark in three seasons.
