2022–23 DePaul Blue Demons Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball team represented DePaul University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by second-year head coach Tony Stubblefield and played their home games at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Chicago, Illinois as members of the Big East Conference. The Demons finished the season 10–23, 3–17 in Big East play to finish in tenth place. They defeated 2022–23 Seton Hall Pirates men's basketball team, Seton Hall in the first round of the 2021 Big East men's basketball tournament, Big East tournament before losing to 2022–23 Xavier Musketeers men's basketball team, Xavier in the quarterfinals. On January 10, 2023, DePaul defeated 2022-23 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team, Villanova for the first time since 2008, snapping a 22-game losing streak to the Wildcats over 15 years. Tony Stubblefield
Anthony Gerard Stubblefield (born March 28, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is currently an assistant for the University of Oregon men's basketball team. He previously served as the head men's basketball coach at DePaul Blue Demons men's basketball, DePaul University. He was previously an assistant for the University of Cincinnati and New Mexico State University, where he also served as interim head coach during the 2004–2005 season due to Lou Henson's illness. Playing career Stubblefield starred at Broomfield (Colorado) High School and played two seasons at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, Wyoming before transferring to Omaha Mavericks men's basketball, Nebraska–Omaha for his final two years of eligibility. The LIU Sharks men's basketball team represents Long Island University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. They play their home games at their Brooklyn Campus in the Steinberg Wellness Center and Barclays Center, formerly known as the Wellness, Recreation & Athletics Center, and are members of the Northeast Conference. The Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball team represents the University of Oklahoma in intercollegiate men's basketball.
