2022–23 Dartmouth Big Green Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Dartmouth Big Green men's basketball team represented Dartmouth College in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Big Green, led by sixth-year head coach David McLaughlin, played their home games at Leede Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire as members of the Ivy League. The Big Green finished the season 10–18, 6–8 in Ivy League play, to finish in sixth place. They failed to qualify for the Ivy League tournament. Previous season The Big Green finished the 2021–22 season 9–16, 6–8 in Ivy League play, to finish in fifth place. David McLaughlin (basketball)
David Adam McLaughlin (born July 5, 1974) is an American college basketball coach. He is the head coach of the Dartmouth College's men's basketball team. Coaching career After a playing career at Colby College, McLaughlin began coaching as a graduate assistant at Suffolk University. He had a tenure as an assistant at Wesleyan University before landing at Stonehill College in 2000. During the 2004 season, McLaughlin assumed the duties of interim head coach, earning the head coaching job for the 2004-05 season. In his first season at the helm, the Skyhawks went 20-8, which led to six 20-win seasons in nine seasons at the helm, along with five NCAA Division II tournament bids, including two Final Four appearances. He finished his Stonehill career with a 189-99 overall record, and 135-80 in Northeast-10 play. Rose Hill Gymnasium
Rose Hill Gymnasium is a 3,200-seat multi-purpose arena on the Rose Hill campus of Fordham University in The Bronx, New York City, New York. The arena, which opened in 1925, is the oldest on-campus venue currently used primarily for an NCAA Division I basketball team and the second-oldest overall (with the oldest being Northeastern University's Matthews Arena, which opened in 1910 and currently used for its basketball and hockey teams). The volleyball team of Fordham University also uses the gym. The Rose Hill Gymnasium has a gothic facade in keeping with the rest of Fordham University's buildings. 2022–23 Fordham Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Fordham Rams men's basketball team represented Fordham University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rams, led by first-year head coach Keith Urgo, played their home games at Rose Hill Gymnasium in The Bronx, New York as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. This was the Rams' first 20-win season since the 1990–91 season. They finished the season 25-8, 12-6 in A-10 Play for a three-way tie for 2nd place. They defeated La Salle in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Tournament before losing to Dayton in the semifinals. Despite having 25 wins, they didn’t participate in a postseason tournament.
