2022–23 Colonial Athletic Association Men's Basketball Season
The 2022–23 CAA men's basketball season was the 37th season of Colonial Athletic Association basketball, taking place between November 2022 and March 2023. The season ended with the 2023 CAA men's basketball tournament. This was the first CAA season after James Madison left to join the Sun Belt Conference, and also the first season for four new CAA members—Hampton, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, and Stony Brook. This was also the last season for the conference under the Colonial Athletic Association name. On July 20, 2023, the CAA announced it had changed its name to Coastal Athletic Association. Billy Taylor (basketball)
Billy Taylor (born June 12, 1973) is an American college basketball coach. He is the current head coach for the Elon Phoenix men's basketball team. Taylor previously served as the head men's basketball coach at Lehigh University from 2002 to 2007 and Ball State University from 2007 to 2013. Playing career Taylor was an honor roll student and commencement speaker at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Illinois. Hofstra Pride Men's Basketball
The Hofstra Pride men's basketball team, known until 2000 as the Hofstra Flying Dutchmen, is the basketball team that represents Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, United States. Hofstra played its first game in 1936, and currently competes in the Coastal Athletic Association. Hofstra has appeared four times in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, most recently in 2001. Arenas The Hofstra Pride play their games at the David S. Speedy Claxton
Craig Elliott "Speedy" Claxton (born May 8, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player and the current head coach of the Hofstra University men's basketball team. Claxton won an NBA championship in 2003 as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. In 2013, he was named as a special assistant to the head coach for the Hofstra University men's basketball program, before being hired as head coach in 2021. The Iowa Hawkeyes men's basketball team is part of the University of Iowa athletics department. The Army Black Knights men's basketball team represents the United States Military Academy in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball. Army currently competes as a member of the Patriot League and plays its home games at Christl Arena in West Point, New York. Zach Spiker
Zachary John Spiker (born September 30, 1976) is an American college basketball coach and the current head basketball coach for the Drexel Dragons. A native of Morgantown, West Virginia, Spiker played college basketball at Ithaca College. He was previously the head coach at Army. He attended The Hill School. Martin Ingelsby
Martin Ingelsby (born November 24, 1978) is an American college basketball coach and the current head coach for the University of Delaware. Ingelsby played basketball at Archbishop Carroll High School and Notre Dame. He was a standout point guard, starting for three seasons for the Fighting Irish. Following the close of his college career, Inglesby pursued a coaching career, landing at Wagner for one season before returning to his alma mater as the coordinator of basketball operations in 2003. The Winthrop Eagles men's basketball team represents Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States and competes in the Big South Conference. Patrick Kelsey (born May 15, 1975) is an American college basketball coach. He is the current head men's basketball coach at the University of Louisville.
