2022–23 Boston College Eagles Women's Basketball Team
The 2022–23 Boston College Eagles women's basketball team represented Boston College during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Eagles were led by fifth-year head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee. They played their home games at the Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and were members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Eagles finished the season 16–17 overall and 5–13 in ACC play, to finish in a tie for eleventh place. As the eleventh seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated Georgia Tech in the first round before losing to Miami in the second round. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or WNIT. Previous season The Eagles finished the 2021–22 season 21–12 overall and 10–8 in ACC play, to finish in a three-way tie for seventh place. Joanna Bernabei-McNamee
Joanna Lynn Bernabei-McNamee (born 1975) is an American college basketball coach who is currently head women's basketball coach at Boston College. Early life and education Born Joanna Lynn Bernabei in Weirton, West Virginia, Bernabei-McNamee graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1993. She helped Weirton Madonna win a girls' basketball state championship and also lettered in tennis and track at the school. After high school, she enrolled at West Liberty University, West Liberty State College. A point guard, Bernabei-McNamee was a four-year all-WVIAC honoree and reached both 1,000 points and 1,000 assists plus over 500 rebounds in her collegiate career. In 1997, she graduated from West Liberty State with a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology. 2022 Women's National Invitation Tournament
The 2022 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 NCAA Division I Women's college basketball teams that were not selected for the field of the 2022 Women's NCAA tournament. The tournament committee announced the 64-team field on March 13, following the selection of the NCAA Tournament field. The tournament started March 16 and ended on April 2 with the championship game televised by CBSSN. The tournament was won by the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Participants The 2022 Postseason WNIT field consists of 32 teams that receive automatic berths – one berth from each conference – and 32 at-large teams. Three conferences (Big Ten, Big 12, SWAC) rejected their bids. Red Bank High School
Red Bank High School is a public school located in the city of Red Bank, Tennessee, United States. History Red Bank High School began as an extension to the one-year-old Red Bank Junior High School in 1938. Recognizing that the original plans for the school serving grades 7, 8, and 9 were not fulfilling the needs of the Red Bank community and surrounding areas, the Hamilton County Board of Education added a 10th grade in 1938, an 11th grade in 1939, and finally a 12th grade in 1940. During the three years of movement toward being a complete high school, Red Bank High School created its unique identity in the area.
