2022 World Athletics U20 Championships – Women's High Jump
The women's high jump at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships was held at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero on 4 and 6 August. 20 athletes from 13 countries were entered to the competition. Since only two athletes per nation can compete in each event, the third entered athlete from Estonia, Liisa-Maria Lusti did not compete in high jump, but 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships – Women's heptathlon, heptathlon instead, reduced the number of athletes to 19. Records U20 standing records prior to the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships were as follows: Results Qualification The qualification round took place on 4 August, in two groups, both starting at 16:12. Athletes attaining a mark of at least 1.85 metres ( ) or at least the 12 best performers ( q ) qualified for the final. Final The final started at 15:35 on 6 August. References

The Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero is a football stadium, also used for athletics, concerts, and rugby sevens, in Cali, Colombia. The stadium is named to honor the poet Pascual Guerrero. Merel Maes (born 22 January 2005) is a Belgian high jumper. She is a multiple-time national champion. Early life A keen footballer from the age of seven, she played as a full back for East Flemish provincial team Vrasene. She started the high jump in 2017. Career In August 2020 as a 15 year-old, she won the Belgian Athletics Championships title in the high jump for the first time, setting a Belgian U16 record of 1.79 metres. Erin Shaw (born 7 September 2004) is an Australian track and field athlete who specialises in high jump. She won the high jump competition at the 2022 Oceania Athletics Championships. Early life Based in Sydney, Shaw spent part of her childhood living in Germany, where her family relocated due to her father's professional commitments. Shaw attended Roseville College in Sydney from Years 7 to 12, graduating in 2022.
