The 2022 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles qualifying was a series of tennis matches that took place from 20 to 23 June 2022 to determine the qualifiers for the 2022 Wimbledon Championships – Women's singles event, and, if necessary, the lucky losers. 16 of the 128 qualifiers who compete in this knockout tournament secured a main draw place. 2022 Wimbledon Championships – Women's Singles
Elena Rybakina defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, 3–6, 6–2, 6–2 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. It was her first major title and first-ever title on grass courts. Rybakina was the first Kazakhstani to win a major, and the third player representing an Asian nation to win a major after Li Na and Naomi Osaka. She was the first player to win from a set down in the final since Amélie Mauresmo in 2006. Jabeur was the first Arab to reach a major singles final, the first African woman to do so in the Open Era, and the first African woman to do so not representing South Africa. Fiona Ferro
Fiona Ferro (born 12 March 1997) is a French-Belgian professional tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of world No. 39 in singles, attained on 8 March 2021, and No. 257 in doubles, reached on 17 May 2021. Olivia Gadecki (; born 24 April 2002) is an Australian professional tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking by the WTA of No. 83, reached on 7 October 2024, and a best doubles ranking of world No. 64, achieved on 22 July 2024.
