2022 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Men's Soccer Team
The 2022 Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer team represented Wake Forest University during the 2022 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the 76th season of the university fielding a program. It was the program's eighth season with Bobby Muuss as head coach. The Demon Deacons played their home matches at Spry Stadium. The Demon Deacons finished the season 14–6–0 overall and 5–3–0 in ACC play to finish in second place in the Atlantic Division. As the fourth overall seed in the ACC Tournament they defeated Virginia Tech in the Second Round before losing to Clemson in the Quarterfinals. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. Bobby Muuss
Bobby Muuss is an American college soccer coach, currently serving as head coach of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's soccer team. Career He played college soccer at Southern Connecticut State. He was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut, helping UConn win the 2000 NCAA Championship. After being an assistant coach at Wake Forest from 2001 to 2006, Muuss was hired to be the head coach at Denver in January 2007. Kyle Holcomb
Kyle Holcomb (born February 24, 2000) is an American soccer player. Playing career Youth, college and amateur Holcomb San Marcos High School, but played club soccer instead with local USSDA side Pateadores from 2012. Holcomb won a national title with Pateadores in 2013. In 2018, Holcomb chose to attended Wake Forest University to play college soccer. In four seasons, including a truncated 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Holcomb made 71 appearances for the Deamon Deacons, scoring 33 goals and tallying eight assists, coming in tied for seventh in program history for career goals scored. Vladimir Walent (born April 22, 2003) is an Haitian college soccer player who plays as a defender for Wake Forest University. Early life Walent was born in Haiti but emigrated to Lafayette, Colorado as a child. Career On July 31, 2020, Walent signed a USL Academy contract with Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. Dix Hills is an affluent hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) on Long Island in the town of Huntington in Suffolk County, New York. The population was 26,892 at the 2010 census. In the past, Dix Hills and some of its neighbors have proposed incorporating as the Incorporated Village of Half Hollow Hills. These proposals were all mothballed.
