2022 SWAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2022 SWAC men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2021–22 season in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The tournament was held March 9–12, 2022. The tournament winner, the 2021–22 Texas Southern Tigers basketball team, Texas Southern Tigers, received the conference's automatic invitation to the 2022 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The tournament was sponsored by Cricket Wireless. Seeds Teams will be seeded by record within the conference, with a tie–breaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. Only the top eight teams in the conference will qualify for the tournament. Schedule Bracket References

Bartow Arena
Bartow Arena is an 8,508-seat multi-purpose arena in Birmingham, in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is home to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Blazers men's and women's basketball teams as well as the women's volleyball team. The arena is named after Gene Bartow, the coach who built the school's men's basketball program from scratch over the last quarter of the 20th century. UAB initially played their games at the Birmingham–Jefferson Convention Complex Arena, now known as Legacy Arena, but moved its games to the on-campus facility beginning with the 1988–89 season. 2021–22 Jackson State Tigers Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Jackson State Tigers basketball team represented Jackson State University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Tigers, led by ninth-year head coach Wayne Brent, played their home games at the Williams Assembly Center in Jackson, Mississippi as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Previous season The Tigers finished the 2020–21 season 12–6, 11–0 in SWAC play, and were SWAC regular season co-champions alongside Prairie View A&M. SWAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The SWAC men's basketball tournament (popularly known as the SWAC tournament) is the conference championship tournament in basketball for the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The tournament has been held every year since 1978. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. On seven occasions, the SWAC champion has won an NCAA Division I tournament game (two being in the first round and five in preliminary rounds). The 2021–22 Bethune–Cookman Wildcats men's basketball team represented Bethune–Cookman University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
