2022 Ivy League Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2022 Ivy League women's basketball tournament was the scheduled postseason women's basketball tournament for the Ivy League of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. It was held March 11 and 12, 2022, at the Lavietes Pavilion on the campus of Harvard University in Boston. Princeton won its third Ivy League championship, earning an automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament, the team's ninth appearance. Lavietes Pavilion
The Ray Lavietes Basketball Pavilion at the Briggs Athletic Center is a 1,636-seat multi-purpose arena in the Allston neighborhood of Boston. Owned by Harvard University, it is the second-oldest college basketball arena still in use (Fordham University's Rose Hill Gymnasium (1925) is older). The facility was originally named the Briggs Athletic Center in honor of LeBaron Russell Briggs, who served as dean of Harvard College from 1891 to 1902 and as the school's athletic director for 17 years. Briggs also served as president of the NCAA. It included an indoor track and batting cages, which were popular with local collegiate and professional baseball players, including Ted Williams. The Columbia Lions women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program representing Columbia University. The school competes in the Ivy League in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). The Lions play home basketball games at the Levien Gymnasium in New York, New York, on the university campus. Columbia has won one Ivy League championship. The Penn Quakers women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program representing University of Pennsylvania.
