The following is the list of squads for each of the twelve teams competing in the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, to be held in Australia between 22 September and 1 October 2022. The 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, the 19th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams, was held in Sydney, Australia between 22 September and 1 October 2022. The United States were the three-time defending champion, and retained the title after a finals win over China in front of 15,895 attendants. Kara Lawson
Kara Marie Lawson (born February 14, 1981) is the head coach of the Duke Blue Devils women's basketball team. She is a former American professional women's basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and a basketball television analyst for ESPN and the Washington Wizards. Lawson primarily played as a shooting guard. She won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China, a championship with the Sacramento Monarchs in the 2005 WNBA Finals, and coached the United States women's national 3x3 team to gold in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Lawson retired from the WNBA in 2015 to focus on her broadcasting career. She began her coaching career as an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics of the NBA in 2019. Jean-Aimé Toupane
Jean-Aimé Toupane (born 12 January 1958) is a Senegalese-French professional basketball coach and former player who is the current head coach of the French women's national team. He was also the head coach of the French men's national under-20 team from 2009 to 2021. Playing career Toupane, who took part in the 1978 World Championship in Manila with the Senegal national team (6.4 points per World Cup game), played at club level in his native country until 1980 for the Jeanne d'Arc Dakar team. In 1980 he moved from Senegal to France and played for the lower-class club BAC Mirande until 1982. Noelle Quinn (born January 3, 1985) is a basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach for the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). As a player, Quinn played for many WNBA teams and for Botaş SK of the Turkish Women's Basketball League. Víctor Antonio Lapeña Tortosa (born 12 March 1975, in Zaragoza) is a Spanish basketball coach who is the head coach of the Canada women's national basketball team. Club career He coached several teams in Spain, both in the second tier league (2003-2008) and the first tier league (2008-2018). Cheryl Chambers
Cheryl Chambers (born 18 April 1968) is an Australian basketball coach and retired professional basketball player. She currently is head coach for the Southside Flyers in the WNBL. Career WNBL Chambers played 261 games in the Women's National Basketball League (playing for the Melbourne East, Coburg, Bulleen Boomers and Melbourne Tigers) and is a Life Member of the WNBL. After her playing career, Chambers went on to coach the Bulleen Boomers from 2001 through to 2009. In her time there, she won the WNBL Coach of the Year Award twice in 2004–05 and 2008–09 respectively. Sandra Anne "Sandy" Brondello (born 20 August 1968) is an Australian women's basketball coach, and the current head coach of the New York Liberty of the WNBA. Brondello played in Australia, Germany and the WNBA before retiring to become a coach. The 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m) Brondello is one of Australia's all-time best shooting guards. She played on Australia's "Opals" national team at four Summer Olympics, and won three medals (one bronze, two silvers).
