2022 Duke Blue Devils Women's Soccer Team
The 2022 Duke Blue Devils women's soccer team represented Duke University during the 2022 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Blue Devils were led by head coach Robbie Church, in his twenty-second season. They played home games at Koskinen Stadium. This was the team's 35th season playing organized women's college soccer and their 34th playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team finished 15–5–3 overall and 6–2–2 in ACC play to finish in a tie for fourth place. As the fifth-seed in the ACC Tournament, they defeated fourth-seed Virginia in the first round, but lost to North Carolina in the semifinal. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, where they were the second seed in the Alabama Bracket. They defeated in the first round, seventh-seed in the second round, and third-seed in the round of 16 before falling in overtime to first-seed in the quarterfinals. Lily Shayan Nabet (born September 24, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) for Angel City FC. Early life Nabet was born in Tarzana, California to David and Shadi Nabet. She attended Chaminade College Preparatory School and played for Real So Cal, where she qualified for U15 and U16 regionals and scored three goals and one assist in her U18 season. She has two brothers, Amin and Matin. College career Nabet attended Duke University, earning a degree in sociology. As a junior in 2019, she started all 20 matches and registered four assists. Michigan State Spartans Women's Soccer
The Michigan State Spartans are the athletic teams that represent Michigan State University. The school's athletic program includes 23 varsity sports teams. Their mascot is a Spartan warrior named Sparty, and the school colors are green and white. The university participates in the NCAA's Division I and the Football Bowl Subdivision for football. Theresa Stephanie Boade (born February 3, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), She played college soccer for the Duke Blue Devils, and also trained with the US U-19 and U-18 Women's national team. Early life Boade was born in Dallas, Texas before moving to Golden, Colorado where she grew up. For high school she attended Valor Christian where she competed in basketball, soccer and track.
