2022–23 McNeese Cowgirls Basketball Team
The 2022–23 McNeese Cowgirls basketball team represented McNeese State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Cowgirls, led by second year head coach Lynn Kennedy, played their home games at The Legacy Center located on the McNeese State University campus in Lake Charles, Louisiana. They were members of the Southland Conference. Previous season The Cowgirls finished the 2021–22 season with a 13–15 record overall and an 8–6 record in conference play. They qualified for the 2022 Southland Conference women's basketball tournament as the No. 4 seed. Their season ended with a 63–90 loss to No. 5 seeded Incarnate Word. The Legacy Center
The Legacy Center, originally known as the Health and Human Performance Education Complex (or H&HP Complex), is a multi-purpose arena in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on the campus of McNeese State University across the street from the Jack V. Doland Athletic Complex. The facility includes six classrooms, 12 faculty offices, a lab, a sports training center, an arena seating around 4,200 for basketball and other events as well as a volleyball court with seating for 600. Crawford Architects and Randy M Goodloe AIA, APAC were the project architectural firms, and the general contractor was Alfred Palma, LLC. Renaming On August 4, 2021, McNeese announced that the arena had been renamed The Legacy Center after Lake Charles couple David and Kimberly Griffin pledged $2.5 million in donations over 10 years. Renaissance Coliseum is a multi-purpose athletic facility at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Renaissance Coliseum houses athletic offices, practice, training/conditioning facilities, the athletics hall of fame and other features.
