2021–22 Superliga (men's Handball)
The 2021–22 Superliga was the 66th season of the Polish Superliga, the top men's handball league in Poland. A total of fourteen teams contested this season's league, which began on 3 September 2021 and concluded on 24 May 2022. Łomża Vive Kielce won their 19th title of the Polish Champions. Format The competition format for the 2021–22 season consists of 14 teams each playing a total of 26 matches, half at home and half away, with the first placed team in the standings earning the Polish Championship. The last placed team is directly relegated to the 1st league, and the penultimate team play relegation playoffs with the willing team from the Central League. The winners are entitled to play in the EHF Champions League the following season. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th team in the standings gain a chance to take part in the upcoming EHF European League edition. Polish Superliga
The Polish Superliga, officially known as the Orlen Superliga due to its sponsorship by Orlen, is the top men's handball league in Poland. It is currently a 14 teams league, played from September to May. The competition was founded in 1956 under the name ''I Liga'' and changed its name to ''Ekstraklasa'' in 1998. Since 2010, it is named ''Superliga''. Kwidzyn
Kwidzyn (; ; Latin: ''Quedin''; Old Prussian: ''Kwēdina'') is a town in northern Poland on the Liwa River. With a population of 36,731, it is the capital of Kwidzyn County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Geography Kwidzyn is located on the Liwa River, some east of the Vistula river, approximately south of Gdańsk and southwest of Kaliningrad. It is part of the region of Powiśle. Orlen Arena
Orlen Arena is an indoor arena in Płock, Poland. It opened on 13 November 2010, and holds 5,492 people. It is located the Celebra Papieska Square, adjacent to Kazimierz Górski Stadium and is primarily used for handball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, table tennis, mixed martial arts, popular music and concerts. Orlen is the titular sponsor of the venue. Capacity Permanent seating includes 5,029 places, a set of VIP lounges with 224 places, a journalist area with 100 places and another 28 places for the handicapped. Temporary seating for an additional 111 places can also be installed. The total capacity of the arena is 5492 places. Events Handball The arena is the permanent home of the Wisła Płock. Mielec
Mielec () is the largest city and County seat, seat of Mielec County. Mielec is located in south-eastern Poland (Lesser Poland), in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship (Województwo Podkarpackie). Lubin
Lubin (; ) is a city in Lower Silesian Voivodeship in south-western Poland. Głogów
Głogów (; , rarely , ) is a city in western Poland. It is the county seat of Głogów County, in Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
