2021–22 Summit League Men's Basketball Season
The 2021–22 Summit League Conference men's basketball season started non-conference play on November 9, 2021, and began conference play on December 20, 2021. The regular season ended on February 26, 2022, setting up the 2022 Summit League men's basketball tournament from March 5 to March 8. South Dakota State was the regular season champion, finishing with a perfect 18-0 conference record for the first time in conference and team history. The Jacks would go on to win the Summit League tournament as well, beating North Dakota State to reach their first NCAA tournament berth in four years. Paul Mills
Paul Kerry Mills (born April 4, 1972) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at Wichita State. Early life Mills, the son of a pastor in the Houston-area community of Aldine, Texas, grew up in a parsonage attached to the church where his father preached. Douglas Wilson (born January 7, 1999) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Kirkwood CC Eagles and the South Dakota State Jackrabbits. Baylor Arthur Scheierman (born September 26, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Maxwell Abmas ( ; born April 2, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Salt Lake City Stars of the NBA G League. Robert DeLafayette Jeter III (born May 15, 1969) is an American college basketball coach and current head coach at Southern Utah. Personal life Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeter grew up in Chicago. His father, Bob (1937–2008), was a Rose Bowl MVP as a halfback for the Iowa Hawkeyes and a second round pick in the 1960 NFL draft. Eric Nicholas Henderson (born May 30, 1978) is an American basketball coach. He currently coaches the Drake Bulldogs men's basketball team. Playing career Henderson played college basketball at Wayne State College in Nebraska under Greg McDermott where he registered 876 rebounds and 160 career steals. The Grand Canyon Antelopes men's basketball team represents Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. They are a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
