2021–22 NC State Wolfpack Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represented North Carolina State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wolfpack were led by fifth-year head coach Kevin Keatts and played their home games at PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The Wolfpack finished the season 11–21 overall and 4–16 in ACC play to finish in fifteenth place. As the fifteenth seed in the ACC tournament, they lost to Clemson in the first round. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or the NIT. Previous season In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Wolfpack finished the 2020–21 season 14–11, 9–8 in ACC play, to finish in ninth place. Kevin Keatts
Kevin Andre Keatts (born July 28, 1972) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at NC State Wolfpack men's basketball, North Carolina State University. Early life and playing career Keatts grew up as an only child in Lynchburg, Virginia. His father was a masonry instructor at Amherst County High School, and Keatts worked as his apprentice on the weekends. He attended Heritage High School (Lynchburg, Virginia), Heritage High School and played point guard on their basketball team as well as quarterback on their football team. As starting quarterback, Keatts led the football team to be ranked the best in the state, losing only one game his entire career. He played basketball for Ferrum College, averaging 13.3 points per game by his senior year. 2020–21 Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Syracuse Orange men's basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Orange were led by 45th-year head coach Jim Boeheim and played their home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York as eighth-year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Orange finished the season 18–10, 9–7 in ACC play, to finish in eight place. In the ACC tournament, they defeated NC State in the second round before losing to Virginia in the Quarterfinals. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as an eleven seed in the Midwest Region. The Charleston Cougars men's basketball team is an NCAA Division I college basketball team representing the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. The Cougars compete in the Coastal Athletic Association. Home games are played at TD Arena, located on College of Charleston's campus. Apex, NC
Apex () is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. At its southern border, Apex encompasses the community of Friendship. In 1994, the downtown area was designated a historic district, and the Apex train depot, built in 1867, is designated a Wake County landmark. The depot location marks the highest point on the old Chatham Railroad, hence the town's name. The town motto is "The Peak of Good Living". In the late 19th century, a small community developed around the railroad station. The forests were cleared for farmland, much of which was dedicated to tobacco farming.
