2021–22 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers Women's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers women's basketball team represented Mount St. Mary's University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Mountaineers, led by first-year head coach Antoine White, played their home games at Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, Maryland as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC). On May 2, 2022, it was announced that the Mountaineers will join the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) on July 1, 2022, leaving the NEC where they had been members since 1989. They finished the season 16–13 overall, and 11–7 in NEC play, to finish in third place. As the third seed in the NEC tournament they received a bye into the quarterfinals where they defeated St. Francis (PA). In the semifinals they defeated fourth seed Wagner to reach the finals where they defeated seventh seed Bryant to earn the tournament title. 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 64 teams to determine the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college basketball national champion for the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The 39th edition of the tournament began on March 21, 2021, in sites around San Antonio, Texas, and concluded with the championship game on April 4 at the Alamodome, with the Stanford Cardinal defeating the Arizona Wildcats 54–53 to win their third NCAA title. Due to logistical considerations surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic (which resulted in the cancellation of the 2020 tournament), and mirroring a similar decision by the men's tournament, the entire tournament was played in the San Antonio area rather than at sites across the country, with some first and second-round games played in nearby San Marcos and Austin. Urbana High School is the only public high school in Urbana, Illinois and was established in 1872. History Urbana High School's current building was built in 1914. It was designed by architect Joseph Royer (architect), Joseph Royer who also designed many other buildings in the area including the Urbana Free Library and the Champaign County Court House. The architecture of Urbana High School is of the Tudor style, defined primarily by the towers over the main entrance and the flattened point arches over the doors.
