2021–22 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2021–22 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2021, followed by the start of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play began in January 2022 and ended in February. With a win over Loyola Chicago on February 26, 2022, Northern Iowa clinched the regular season championship. The MVC tournament was held March 3 through March 6, 2022 at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Gaige Colburn Prim (born April 8, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Ulsan Hyundai Mobis Phoebus of the Korean Basketball League (KBL). He previously played for West Texas A&M Buffaloes, South Plains Texans, and Missouri State Bears basketball. High school career Prim attended Grandview High School in Aurora, Colorado. Tucker Dale DeVries (born December 7, 2002) is an American college basketball player for the Indiana Hoosiers of the Big Ten Conference. He previously played for the Drake Bulldogs and the West Virginia Mountaineers. Early life and high school career DeVries grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and initially attended Elkhorn South High School. The Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Coach of the Year is an annual basketball award given to the Missouri Valley Conference's most outstanding head coach. The Larry Bird Missouri Valley Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an annual award given to the Missouri Valley Conference's most outstanding player. The award was first given following the 1968–69 season.
