2021–22 Liga III
The 2021–22 Liga III was the 66th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began in August 2021 and ended on 28 May 2022. This season was the second consecutive with a format that included 100 teams (10x10). The format was changed before the previous season, due to the financial problems generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The difference this season is that a play-off and play-out was introduced between the regular season and the promotion play-offs. Liga III
The Liga 3, most often spelled as Liga III, is the third level of the Romanian football league system. It was founded in 1936 and was called Divizia C until 2006. An exception was the seasons 1992–93 to 1996–97, in which the league was called Divizia B. CS Luceafărul Oradea
Clubul Sportiv Luceafărul Oradea, commonly known as Luceafărul Oradea or simply as Luceafărul, is a Romanian professional football club from Oradea, Bihor County. The team currently plays in the Liga IV. Founded in 2001, Luceafărul started as a youth academy for children who had no future at FC Bihor. 2020–21 Liga IV
The 2020–21 Liga IV was the 79th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season was initially postponed due to the high costs generated by COVID-19 pandemic, but on 7 April 2021, the Romanian Football Federation approved a new protocol for the amateur leagues, with lower costs. The county associations had only a month to play a blitzkrieg season, but only 24 leagues (out of 42) had a competition and announced a champion in time, three other county associations (Călărași, Giurgiu and Vrancea) organized a competition, but which ended after the deadline imposed by the FRF. The promotion play-off will be played in two rounds. First round will be played between 6 winners of Liga IV (chosen randomly), consisting of 3 matches played on neutral ground. The Romanian football league system, also known as the football pyramid, refers to the system in Romanian club football that consists of several football leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation. The first three leagues are organized at a national level and consist of fully professional teams. Lower divisions are organized at Counties of Romania, county levels, with each county's football association controlling its respective leagues. Reserve teams play in the same league system as their parent clubs. Asociaţia Club Sportiv FC Corvinul Hunedoara 1921 (), commonly known as Corvinul Hunedoara or simply Corvinul, is a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Hunedoara, Hunedoara County, that competes in the Liga II. Founded in 1921 as ''Fero Sport Hunedoara'', the club bore various names over time, but stuck with Corvinul, inspired by the history of the Hunyadi family () and the local Corvin Castle. Under this name, the team achieved its best performances during the 1980s, when it was a constant appearance in the top flight. Between 1979 and 1982, Corvinul was coached by Mircea Lucescu, who would go on to become one of the most successful Romanian managers. FCV Farul II Constanța, commonly known as Farul II Constanța () or simply Farul II, was the reserve squad of Romanian first league side, Farul Constanța. History The team was originally founded in 2003, under the name of ''FC Farul II Constanța'' and was enrolled in the Divizia C. Farul II played in the third tier until 2010, without notable results, but the main target of the team was tho grew up talented players for the senior squad of Farul. On 21 June 2021, Gheorghe Hagi, owner and founder of Viitorul Constanța, Gheorghe Popescu, chairman of Viitorul, and Ciprian Marica, owner of Farul Constanța, announced in a press conference that their teams have merged.
