2021–22 LEB Plata Season
The 2021–22 LEB Plata season was the 22nd season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 9 October 2021 with the first round of the regular season and ended on 21 May 2022 with the promotion playoffs. LEB Plata
The Segunda FEB, formerly known as LEB 2 and LEB Plata, is the third basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system and the second basketball division organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation. Baloncesto Fuenlabrada, Sociedad Anónima Deportiva, S.A.D., known as Flexicar Fuenlabrada because of sponsorship reasons, or just as Fuenlabrada, is a professional basketball team based in Fuenlabrada, Spain. The team plays in the Primera FEB and plays their home games at Polideportivo Fernando Martín, Fernando Martín. History Founded in 1983, Fuenlabrada started to compete at a local level. Club Bàsquet Menorca is a Spanish basketball club based in Mahón, Balearic Islands. History Bàsquet Menorca was founded in 2016 with the aim to reach again the professional basketball after the dissolution of former Liga ACB team Menorca Bàsquet. In its first season, the club played in Liga EBA with the place of the Balearic multi-sports club CCE Sant Lluís, based in the namesake municipality that played the previous season in the same league. CP La Roda
Club Polideportivo La Roda, also known as JAFEP Fundación Globalcaja La Roda for sponsorship reasons, is the basketball team of the Spanish namesake multi-sports club based in La Roda, Albacete. It currently plays in LEB Plata. History In the 1980s, CP La Roda reached for the first time the fourth tier, where it remained during four years before declining. The club came back years later and started in the Provincial League, coming back finally to Tercera División, fourth tier, in 1989. Four years later, La Roda achieved the promotion to Segunda División, where it played continuously until 2002 (the league changed its name to Primera División in 1999) when the club was relegated to Primera Autonómica. Club Baloncesto Benicarló, is a professional basketball team based in Benicarló, Valencian Community, that currently plays in LEB Plata. History 1969 is considered the year of foundation of the club as it was the year when Club Baloncesto OJE, the first team in the city, was registered. After playing since its foundation in the third division, the club promotes for the first time ever in 1987. In 2018 the club is selected to cover a vacant place in Liga EBA.
