2021–22 Kansas State Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Kansas State University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, their 119th basketball season. The Wildcats were led by 10th-year head coach Bruce Weber and played their home games in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas as members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 6–12 in Big 12 play to finish ninth place. They lost to West Virginia in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. On March 10, 2022, head coach Bruce Weber announced he was stepping down as head coach. On March 21, the school named longtime Baylor assistant Jerome Tang the team's new head coach. Bruce Weber (basketball)
Bruce Brett Weber (born October 19, 1956) is an American former men's basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at Kansas State University. Prior to his tenure at Kansas State, Weber was the head coach at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Southern Illinois University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Illinois. Weber won conference championships and conference coach of the year awards at each of the three schools where he served as head coach. He guided his teams to a combined total of 13 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, NCAA tournaments in 24 seasons, including an appearance with Illinois in the championship game of the 2005 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2005 NCAA tournament. 2021 Big 12 Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 men's basketball tournament was a postseason men's basketball tournament for the Big 12 Conference. It was played from March 10 to 13, in Kansas City, Missouri at the T-Mobile Center. The winner received the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA tournament. Texas defeated Oklahoma State in the championship to earn their first Big 12 Tournament Championship and third Conference tournament Championship overall. Texas became the first school that was not a member of the Big Eight Conference to win the tournament. Seeds All ten teams participated in the tournament. The top six teams earned a first-round bye. The Little Rock Trojans men's basketball team (formerly branded as the Arkansas–Little Rock Trojans) represents the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Markquis Morris Nowell (born December 25, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Kansas State Wildcats, and previously the Little Rock Trojans. The Western Carolina Catamounts men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men' basketball team that represents Western Carolina University. The team currently competes in the Southern Conference.
