División De Honor Juvenil De Fútbol
The División de Honor Juvenil is the top level of the Spanish football league system for youth players 19 years old and under. The División de Honor is administered by the RFEF through the ''Liga Nacional de Fútbol Aficionado (LNFA)''. Format The División de Honor begins the first weekend in September and ends in April or May. The División de Honor's season is similar to the senior players' La Liga playing a double round-robin points based system. There are seven groups of 16 teams. The teams with the most points in each group are declared champion of its group and advance to the Copa de Campeones Juvenil de Fútbol. In each group, the teams placing 13th and below are relegated to the Liga Nacional or the Canarias Preferente in the case of those teams from the Canary Islands (Group6). History Created in 1986, the ''Superliga Juvenil'' was a national league with 16 teams. However, traveling across the country caused financial hardships for some clubs. Real Valladolid (in 1993) ...

Real Betis Cantera
The cantera (''quarry'') of Spanish professional football club Real Betis is the organisation's youth academy, developing players from childhood through to the integration of the best prospects into the adult teams. The final category within the youth structure is the ''Juvenil A'' under-18/19 team, which represents the club in national competitions. Successful graduates usually move to the club's reserve team, Betis Deportivo, which is also considered part of the cantera due to being a stage in progression towards the senior team, albeit competing in the adult league system (currently Segunda División B). The academy is based at the club training complex, Ciudad Deportiva Luis del Sol. Background and structure The top football clubs in the Spanish leagues generally place great importance in developing their ''cantera'' to promote the players from within, or sell to other clubs as a source of revenue, and Real Betis is no exception. 2022 Copa Del Rey Juvenil
The 2022 Copa del Rey Juvenil was the 70th staging of the Copa del Rey Juvenil de Fútbol, the national knockout tournament for youth (under-19) football in Spain. Format The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain led to the 2020 and 2021 editions of the competition being cancelled. The hiatus led to the format being revised by the Royal Spanish Football Federation (the senior men's Copa del Rey and women's Copa de la Reina de Fútbol had also been revamped in recent years). Previously a 16-team end-of season tournament with qualification based on the finishing positions in the División de Honor Juvenil de Fútbol, 32 teams were now invited based on their league positions at the halfway stage (top four in each of the seven groups, plus four highest-ranked 5th-placed), with the Copa del Rey being completed over several months in the second half of the season. Two-leg ties were also replaced by single matches in each round. The first round draw was based on geographical proximity, with teams fro ...
