Greg McDermott (born November 25, 1964) is an American basketball coach who has been the head coach of the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball, Creighton Bluejays men's basketball team since 2010. Previously, McDermott served as the head coach at Wayne State Wildcats men's basketball, Wayne State College, North Dakota State Bison men's basketball, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa Panthers men's basketball, Northern Iowa, and Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball, Iowa State. The 1974 NCAA Division I basketball tournament involved 25 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It was the first tournament to be designated as a Division I championship—previously, NCAA member schools had been divided into the "University Division" and "College Division".
