The 2021–22 Cornell Big Red men's basketball team represented Cornell University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Brian Earl
Brian W. Earl (born August 9, 1976) is an American basketball coach and former professional basketball player. He is the current head coach for the William & Mary team. Prior to his start at William & Mary, Earl was the head coach for the Cornell Big Red men's basketball team. He previously served nine seasons as an assistant coach for Princeton Tigers men's basketball where he had formerly been team captain and earned three Ivy League championships. He is the brother of coach and former player Dan Earl. High school Earl grew up in Medford Lakes, New Jersey and attended Shawnee High School in Medford where he was the 1995 ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'' player of the year. He is the younger brother of former All-Big Ten player Dan Earl. Dan became VMI head coach the year before Brian became a head coach. 2021–22 Lafayette Leopards Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Lafayette Leopards men's basketball team represented Lafayette College in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Leopards, led by 27th-year head coach Fran O'Hanlon, played their home games at the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, Pennsylvania as members of the Patriot League. The Leopards finished the season 10–20, 7–11 in Patriot League play, to finish in a tie for seventh place. In the Patriot League tournament, they were defeated in overtime by Bucknell in the first round. During the season, on January 21, longtime head coach Fran O'Hanlon announced that he would retire at the end of the season, ending his 27-year run as the head coach. Binghamton University Events Center
Binghamton University Events Center is the premier Division I Athletics and multipurpose facility at Binghamton University. The arena opened in 2004 and is adjacent to the Bearcat Sports Complex. It is home to the Binghamton Bearcats Division I Intercollegiate Athletic Program and can seat 5,142 patrons for home games, and over 8,000 for other large-scale events. It has hosted the 2005, 2006, and 2008 America East Conference men's basketball tournaments; the 2007 American East women's tournament as well as the first round and quarterfinal of the 2018 WBI tournament.
