In the 2021–22 season, Al Sadd SC is competing in the 2021–22 Qatar Stars League, Qatar Stars League for the List of Al Sadd SC seasons, 49th season, as well as the Emir of Qatar Cup and the AFC Champions League, Champions League. On November 3, after the match against Al-Duhail SC, Al-Duhail, Xavi (footballer, born 1980), Xavi left the club to be the new coach of FC Barcelona six years after his departure and this is after an agreement was reached between the two clubs. Al Sadd Sports Club () is a Qatari sports club based in the Al Sadd (Qatar), Al Sadd district of the capital city Doha. Al-Arabi Sports Club () is a Qatari sports club based in the capital city Doha. Founded in 1952, the most prominent team of the club is the Association football, football team that competes in the Qatar Stars League.
