2021 Pittsburgh Panthers Men's Soccer Team
The 2021 Pittsburgh Panthers men's soccer team represented the University of Pittsburgh during the 2021 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Panthers were led by head coach Jay Vidovich, in his sixth season. They played home games at Ambrose Urbanic Field. This was the team's 68th season playing organized men's college soccer and their 9th playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Panthers finished the season 13–5–2 overall and 5–2–1 in ACC play to finish in a tie for first place in the Coastal Division. They won a tiebreaker with Duke to be awarded the first overall seed in the ACC Tournament. They earned a bye into the Quarterfinals where they defeated Virginia Tech before losing to eventual champions Notre Dame in the Semifinals. Jay Vidovich
Jay Vidovich is the head coach of the University of Pittsburgh men's soccer team. He is the former coach of the Portland Timbers 2 of USL Pro and formerly served as Wake Forest University's head soccer coach from 1994–2014, posting a 225–87–31 record during that span, including a 60–7–4 mark from 2012 through 2014. He was named the NCAA Men's Division 1 "Coach of the Year" by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in both 2007 and 2008. During those seasons, Wake Forest won the 2007 NCAA D1 Championship over Ohio State University and finished with a 22–2–1 record, and were ranked #1 for most of 2008, before falling in the Final Four to North Carolina. During the 2009 tournament, the Deamon Deacons fell to the eventual national champion Virginia Cavaliers. Bryce Washington (soccer)
Bryce Washington (born September 2, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for North Carolina FC. Early life and college Washington was born in Atlanta, Georgia and played soccer at North Atlanta High School. He also spent a season in the youth academy of Atlanta United, appearing 30 times for the club's under-18 side and leading the side in minutes played. In 2017, Washington began to attend Rutgers University and played college soccer for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. After two seasons with Rutgers, Washington transferred to the University of Pittsburgh and joined the Pittsburgh Panthers. In his first season, Washington appeared in 18 matches as he helped lead the side to their first NCAA College Cup appearance. Edward Kizza (born 17 December 1998) is a Ugandan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL Championship. Career Born in Kampala, Kizza moved to the United States with his parents when he was 14. He spent his first year of high school at Carlisle School before joining the Montverde Academy near Orlando, Florida. 2021 MLS SuperDraft
The 2021 MLS SuperDraft was the 22nd edition of the SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is held every January prior to the start of the MLS season. The 2020 SuperDraft was the first held exclusively via conference call and web streaming. The Draft was once again held virtually, and began on January 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, and consisted of three rounds (shortened from four rounds in prior years). The Indiana Hoosiers men's soccer team represents Indiana University Bloomington. The team is a member of the Big Ten Conference of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. By any number of indicators, the Hoosiers are the most successful collegiate soccer program in the history of the sport. UCF Knights Men's Soccer
The UCF Knights men's soccer team represents the University of Central Florida in National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I. As of the next NCAA men's soccer season in 2023, the Knights compete in the Sun Belt Conference (SBC). This coincides with UCF's July 2023 move from the American Athletic Conference (The American), a league in which it has been a member since 2013, to the Big 12 Conference, which sponsors soccer only for women.
