2021 Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier
The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was scheduled to be a tournament played as part of qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. It was scheduled to take place from 11 to 16 October 2021 in Japan, with the top team progressing to one of two global qualifiers. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Regional Qualifiers would have been played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Originally the qualifier was scheduled to take place between March and September 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup
The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the eighth edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, formerly known as the ICC World Twenty20. It was played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2022. In the final, England cricket team, England beat Pakistan national cricket team, Pakistan by five wickets to win their second ICC Men's T20 World Cup title and draw level with the West Indies cricket team, West Indies, who also won 2 ICC Men's T20 World Cup titles in both the 2012 World Twenty20, 2012 and the 2016 World Twenty20, 2016 editions. Twenty20 (abbreviated T20) is a shortened format of cricket. Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of Twenty20 cricket, in which each team plays a single innings with a maximum of twenty overs. The matches are played between international teams recognized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). In the T20I format, each bowler is restricted to a maximum of four overs. A mandatory powerplay is taken during the first six overs of an innings.
