2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships – Women's C1
The Women's C1 at the 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships took place on 23 and 26 September 2021 at the Čunovo Water Sports Centre in Bratislava. It was the 9th official edition of the event, after it made its debut in 2010. 44 athletes from 22 nations competed. The event was won by Elena Apel of Germany, securing her second medal of the Championships after she won silver in K1. Briton Mallory Franklin won silver for the fourth time, her fifth ever medal in this event. 2020 European Champion Gabriela Satková of the Czech Republic won bronze, her first individual medal at world championship level. Background Andrea Herzog of Germany entered the event as the reigning world champion, having taken the title in 2019 in La Seu d'Urgell. This was the first World Championships since women's C1 made its Olympic debut at Tokyo, where Jess Fox won gold ahead of Mallory Franklin and Herzog. 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships
The 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships took place from 22 to 26 September 2021 in Bratislava, Slovakia under the auspices of International Canoe Federation (ICF). It was the 41st edition. The events took place at the Čunovo Water Sports Centre which was reconstructed before the championships. Bratislava hosted the championships for the second time after previously hosting in 2011 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2011. Bratislava also hosted the 2021 Wildwater Canoeing World Championships as part of the same event. Schedule Ten medal events were contested. Tereza Fišerová (born 23 February 1998) is a Czech Canoe slalom, slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2013. She won 10 medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with three golds (Mixed C2: 2019 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2019, C1 team: 2021 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships – Teams, 2021, 2022 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2022), four silvers (C1: 2017 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2017, C1 team: 2015 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2015, 2018 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2018, 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships, 2023) and three bronzes (C1: 2018, C1 team: 2017, 2019).
