Kanta Tsuneyama
was a Japanese badminton player from Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture. He reached a career-high ranking of world number 10 in men's singles. During his career, Tsuneyama won several BWF World Tour titles, including the 2018 Thailand Open, the 2019 Korea Masters, and the 2021 French Open. He was also part of the Japanese teams that won silver at the 2018 Thomas Cup and bronze medals at the 2018 and 2022 Asian Games. Tsuneyama officially retired on 22 August 2024. He has since been appointed as the coach for the Hokuto Bank Women's Badminton Team, starting in the 2025 season. Toby Penty
Toby Penty (born 12 August 1992) is a retired English badminton player. He started playing badminton at aged 9, and won U-19 English National Championships in 2011. In 2010, he won junior titles in the Netherlands and Switzerland. In 2017, he won the Swedish International tournament in the men's singles event. Penty competed at the 2019 European Games, 2020 Olympic Games and at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Penty announced his retirement on 6 September 2022. Toma Junior Popov (born 29 September 1998) is a French badminton player. Partnered with his brother Christo Popov, he won the men's doubles gold at the 2025 European Championships. He competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and claimed the men's singles bronze medal. In the juniors, Popov won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Junior Championships in the boys' singles event. Popov made history as the first non-Danish male player to win a European Junior team gold as well as the men's singles and doubles in 2017. Nhat Nguyen (, ; born 16 June 2000) is a Vietnamese-born Irish badminton player. Biography Nguyen was born in the suburbs of Hanoi, Vietnam and moved to Cavan, Ireland with his parents and older sister, when he was six years old. He began representing Ireland internationally when he received his Irish passport and citizenship in 2017; before that he was unable to travel outside Ireland to compete overseas. He was the gold medalist at the 2016 European U17 Championships in the boys' singles event, and also won bronze in the doubles event partnered with Paul Reynolds. At the young age, Wangcharoen became the runner-up in the senior tournament 2014 Singapore International in the men's singles event after losing the match because of foot injury. Wangcharoen clinched the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in the boys' singles event, also part of the junior team that won the mixed team bronze in 2014 and 2016, and Asian mixed team bronze in 2016. is a Japanese badminton player. He won a silver medal in the men's singles at the 2017 Summer Universiade and a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games.
