2021 Amstel Gold Race (women's Race)
The seventh edition of the Amstel Gold Race for Women was a road cycling one-day race held on 18 April 2021 in the Netherlands. It was the sixth event of the 2021 UCI Women's World Tour. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the race was held on a 17 km circuit including the Geulhemmerberg, the Bemelerberg and the Cauberg, and the area was closed to spectators. 2021 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2021 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included eighteen road cycling events throughout the 2021 women's cycling season. It was the sixth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with Strade Bianche on 6 March, and finished with the Ronde van Drenthe on 23 October. Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten () became the first rider to win the individual classification for a second time, taking a season-high four overall victories during the season, finishing the season with a tally of 3177 points. Amanda Spratt
Amanda Spratt (born 17 September 1987) is an Australian road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Spratt was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics. In 2012, 2016 and 2020 she won the Australian National Road Race Championships in Buninyong, Victoria. In 2018, she secured the silver medal in the UCI Road World Championships in Innsbruck, Austria. Personal Spratt, nicknamed "Spratty", was born on 17 September 1987 in Penrith, New South Wales, which is a suburb of Sydney. Katarzyna "Kasia" Niewiadoma (born 29 September 1994) is a Polish racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Among her wins are the Amstel Gold Race, the Trofeo Alfredo Binda and the stage race The Women's Tour. She is a former national champion in both the road race and time trial events. In July 2022, she was named as one of the pre-race favourites for the first edition of the Tour de France Femmes, and eventually finished third overall. Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (née Moolman; born 9 December 1985) is a South African professional road bicycle racer, who rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, finishing 16th and in the Women's time trial finishing 24th. On 9 December 2020, she won the first edition of the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships, organised on the online cycling platform Zwift. Elisa Longo Borghini (born 10 December 1991) is an Italian professional road cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . During her career, Longo Borghini has won two bronze medals in the road race at the Summer Olympic Games, taking third-place finishes in Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (born 23 August 1995) is a Danish professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Career As a junior, she competed at the 2012 UCI Road World Championships and the 2013 UCI Road World Championships. In the 2018 La Course by Le Tour de France she finished in 4th place, with her teammate Ashleigh Moolman taking the final podium place. She also took the mountains classification in this race.
