2021–22 Omaha Mavericks Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Omaha Mavericks men's basketball team represented the University of Nebraska Omaha in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mavericks, led by 17th-year head coach Derrin Hansen, played their home games at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska, as members of the Summit League. Previous season The Mavericks finished the 2020–21 season 5–20, 3–11 in Summit League play to finish in eighth place. Derrin Hansen
Derrin Hansen (born December 15, 1967) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head men's basketball coach at University of Nebraska Omaha. He became head coach after coach Kevin McKenna left to become an assistant at Creighton in July 2005. Hansen was named Summit League Coach of the Year in 2019, after leading the Mavericks to a Division I-program record 19 victories. On March 6, 2022, UNO athletic director Adrian Dowell decided to "make a change in leadership for the head coach position" after two straight 5-win seasons, dismissing Hansen after 17 seasons. Bramlage Coliseum
Fred Bramlage Coliseum is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Manhattan, Kansas, with an official capacity of 11,000. It is the home to the Kansas State University men's and women's basketball teams, and used to serve as the venue for Kansas State's women's volleyball team. The facility currently holds offices for various administrative and business units for K-State Athletics, and the track & field team. Bramlage was previously the home for other K-State team offices, including women's soccer and baseball. Construction and usage The arena is located in the northwest corner of the KSU campus, along with the rest of the school's athletic facilities, abutting the south end zone of Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium. 2021–22 Kansas State Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Kansas State University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, their 119th basketball season. The Wildcats were led by 10th-year head coach Bruce Weber and played their home games in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas as members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 14–17, 6–12 in Big 12 play to finish ninth place. They lost to West Virginia in the first round of the Big 12 tournament. John E. Worthen Arena is an arena on the campus of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, United States. The arena opened in 1992 and replacing the 6,600-seat Irving Gymnasium as the primary venue for Ball State basketball and volleyball programs. Ralston is a city in Douglas County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 6,494 at the 2020 census.
