2021–22 Harty Cup
The 2021–22 Harty Cup was the 101st staging of the Harty Cup since its establishment in hurling by the Munster Council of Gaelic Athletic Association in 1918. The competition contested from 8 November 2021 to 5 February 2022. The 2021–22 Dr Harty Cup adopted a change in format. Prior to 2021, the competition began with group stage, the knockout stage commencing after Christmas. The new format saw six first-round games, with three winners moving forward to the quarter-finals while the other three winners, six losers and Gaelcholáiste Mhuire contesting five second-round ties to determine the other last-eight teams. St Flannan's College unsuccessfully defended its title in round 2 against Cashel Community School. Lismore GAA
Lismore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. The club enters teams in both GAA codes each year, which includes two adult hurling teams and one adult Gaelic football team in the Waterford County Championships. The club has won county titles in both hurling and football, but in recent history the club has been mainly concerned with the game of hurling. St Colman's College, Fermoy
St Colman's College () is an all-boys voluntary secondary school, and former boarding school, in Fermoy, County Cork. The college was founded in 1856 and opened in 1858 as the diocesan college of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cloyne. Archbishop Thomas Croke, after whom Croke Park is named, became the school's first president in this year. History The site upon which St. Colman's was built was bought by Fr. Timothy Murphy in 1856. Murphy commissioned John Pine Hurley to design the new college building. Twenty months after construction began, St. Colman's opened its doors to its first students in 1858. The original college building is three storeys in height and has a six-storey tower. The façade is of red sandstone, with limestone facings. Cashel King Cormacs GAA
Cashel King Cormacs GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. They play their games in Leahy Park, on the Clonmel Road in Cashel. The club is named for the king-bishop Cormac Mac Cárthaigh (d. 1138). Extensive work has been carried out in the last few years, with the addition of a new clubhouse and main stand the highlight. Our Lady's Secondary School, Templemore, is a second-level school in Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland. The school's motto () means "mercy". It is under the ethos of the Catholic Church and is located in the ecclesiastical parish of Templemore, Clonmore and Killea. History The school was established when the Sisters of Mercy opened a convent in Templemore in 1863. In 1955 the Convent School became a Voluntary Secondary School, catering for around three hundred girls, including eighty boarders. Midleton CBS Secondary School
Midleton CBS Secondary School is a Catholic secondary school for boys, located in Midleton, County Cork, Ireland. Midleton CBS was founded by the Congregation of Christian Brothers in 1867. History The Christian Brothers arrived in Midleton in 1867 at the request of the parish priest who recognized the need of a dedicated school to educate the town's Roman Catholic male youth, at a time when the Church of Ireland's Midleton College was fast expanding. The local community provided donations for the cost of the construction, and the school opened on 3 April 1867, with over 300 pupils joining in its first week. Galtee Rovers—St. Pecaun's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Bansha on the National Primary Route N24 in the shadow of the Galtee Mountains in west County Tipperary, Ireland. De La Salle College Waterford is a secondary school in Waterford, Ireland with over 1,000 students and 90 teachers. De La Salle Teachers Training College The De La Salle Brothers had a presence in Waterford since the 1870s, and opened a teacher training college at Newtown, Waterford in 1894. In 1894 Mr. J.L.
