2020–21 Wichita State Shockers Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team represented Wichita State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They played their home games at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas and were led by interim head coach Isaac Brown who took over as interim coach after Gregg Marshall resigned before the start of the season. Brown was promoted to full-time head coach during the season. They are members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 16–6, 11–2 in AAC Play to finish in 1st place. They defeated South Florida in the quarterfinals of the AAC tournament before losing in the semifinals to Cincinnati. They received an at large-bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the First Four to Drake. Isaac Brown (basketball)
Isaac Leon Brown (born May 7, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at Wichita State. Playing career Brown is a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He played basketball at Pascagoula High School and helped the team reach the state championship game in 1988. Brown played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College from 1988 to 1990. He played one season at Texas A&M, averaging 12 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while starting 17 games, but was dismissed in February 1991 by coach Kermit Davis. Brown decided to transfer to Northeast Louisiana. After sitting out a season, he helped Northeast Louisiana capture the 1993 Southland Conference title with a 17–1 record, finish 27–4 overall and receive a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Metro State Roadrunners
The MSU Denver Roadrunners are the athletic teams that represent Metropolitan State University of Denver. The Roadrunners participate in 15 intercollegiate sports and compete in the Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. History MSU Denver has produced 239 All-Americans and was one of the seven charter members of the Colorado Athletic Conference in 1989 before joining the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 1996. MSU Denver competed as a NAIA member until 1983, when the Roadrunners jumped to the NCAA Division II ranks. The UMass Minutemen basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, in NCAA Division I men's college basketball.
