2020–21 VCU Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Their head coach was Mike Rhoades, in his fourth year as VCU head coach. The team played their home games at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia, as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, COVID-19 pandemic, they finished the season 19–7, 10–4 in A-10 play to finish in second place. Mike Rhoades
Michael David Rhoades (born September 21, 1972) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at Penn State University, where he was hired on March 29, 2023. Prior to his position at Penn State, Rhoades served as the head men's basketball coach at Randolph–Macon College from 1999 to 2009, at Rice University from 2014 to 2017, and at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2017 to 2023. Biography Playing career Rhoades played college basketball at Lebanon Valley College and led the team to the 1994 Division III national championship. A shooting guard, he still holds the records for assists, steals, and free-throw percentage. He also graduated as the college's all-time leading scorer. 2019–20 Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 Atlantic 10 Conference men's basketball season was the 44th season of Atlantic 10 Conference basketball. The season began with practices in October 2019, followed by the start of the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. League play began in early January and ended in early March. The 2020 Atlantic 10 tournament was to be held from March 11–15, 2020, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but on March 12, the season was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
