2020–21 Turkish Women's Volleyball League
The 2020–21 Turkish Women's Volleyball League is the 39th volleyball tournament year and the top-level women's volleyball tournament of the newly branded and reorganized Turkish Women's Volleyball League. The winner, runner-up and third of Turkish Women's Volleyball League will play in CEV Champions League league round and 4th place will play in CEV Cup main phase. The 5th place will play in CEV Challenge Cup main phase while the last 2 teams in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League will be relegated to the Second League. The last season's champion is VakıfBank, who have won the league 12 times. Turkish Women's Volleyball League
Sultanlar Ligi (''Sultans League''), known for sponsorship reasons as Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in Europe, European and other international competitions. Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Eczacıbaşı are the most successful club, having won 16 championships so far. It succeeded the former Turkish Women's Volleyball Championship (1956–1984). Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor
Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor is the women's professional volleyball department of Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor Kulübü, a Turkish sports club based in Aydın, Turkey. The team plays its home matches at the Mimar Sinan Spor Salonu hall in Aydın. Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor competed in European cups for the first time in its history in the 2018-19 season, played in the final in the CEV Women's Challenge Cup and won the second medal. History Aydın Belediyegücü Sports Club, the sports club of Aydın Municipality that was established in 2010, was changed to Aydın Büyükşehir Belediyespor Club on 11 July 2014. Bursa
Bursa () is a city in northwestern Turkey and the administrative center of Bursa Province. Şeyma Ercan
Şeyma Ercan (born 5 July 1994 in Ankara, Turkey) is a Turkish volleyball player who plays for Türk Hava Yolları. She is tall at and plays in the wing spiker position. Şeyma began playing volleyball in 2005 at Gazi University's Sport Club in her hometown. She was encouraged by coach Elif Öz. She is a member of the Turkey women's youth national volleyball team, and wears number 5. In 2009, at the age of only 15, she became a member of the A-team, which played in the Turkish Women's Volleyball Second League. She transferred to Beşiktaş Women's Volleyball Team in Istanbul in the 2011-2012 season. In September 2012, she signed a three-year contract with Eczacıbaşı VitrA, which then loaned her out for one year to Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor. She spent next two years at Eczacıbaşı VitrA. Marcello Abbondanza
Marcello Abbondanza (born August 24, 1970) is an Italian volleyball coach. He's currently coaching the Fenerbahçe, a Turkish team based in Istanbul and plays in Sultanlar Ligi. Career He started as an assistant coach on the bench of Big Power Ravenna Team between 1996 and 1997. He was again an assistant coach between 1998 and 2000 in Foppapedretti Bergamo Team and then in 2002–2003 season he started as a head coach with the Meccanica Pierre OML Mazzano, in Serie A2 (Italian second league) and was very close to winning the league. Afterwards he transferred Robursport Scavolini Pesaro Team in first league, for 3 seasons which won the 2005-06 CEV Cup, and for 2 seasons in Monte Schiavo Banca Marche Jesi where he led the team to a playoffs in 2006–2007 league.
