2020–21 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers men's basketball team represented Mount St. Mary's University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Mountaineers were led by third-year head coach Dan Engelstad, and played their home games at Knott Arena in Emmitsburg, Maryland as members of the Northeast Conference. They finished the season 12-11, 9-7 in NEC Play to finish in 4th place. They defeated Wagner and Bryant to be champions of the NEC tournament. They received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the First Four to Texas Southern. Dan Engelstad
Daniel Engelstad (born October 11, 1984) is an American college basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach at Syracuse University. Prior to that, he was the head coach of the Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers men's basketball team. Playing career Engelstad played college basketball at Division III St. Mary's College of Maryland, where he graduated as the school's all-time leader in assists. Coaching career Upon graduation, Engelstad joined Milan Brown's staff at Mount St. Mary's where he was on staff for the Mountaineers' 2008 NCAA tournament team. He followed Brown as an assistant coach at Holy Cross in 2010, where he stayed until 2013 when he accepted the head coaching position at Southern Vermont. Montverde Academy is a private college preparatory school in Montverde, Florida, United States, located in the Greater Orlando area. The school is widely known for its athletic programs, particularly soccer and basketball. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P.
