2020–21 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2020–21 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season is scheduled to begin with practices in October 2020, followed by the start of the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November 2020. Conference play will begin in December and conclude with the 2021 American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. With UConn's departure on July 1, 2020, the American is back at 11 teams. For the 2020-21 Season due to COVID-19 pandemic The scheduling format was changed to a 20-game, double round-robin conference schedules. Florida Gulf Coast Eagles Men's Basketball
The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida, United States. The school's team currently competes in the ASUN Conference. The Eagles are currently coached by Pat Chambers. In 2002, Florida Gulf Coast became an independent member of NCAA Division II. Joseph Gerard Dooley III (born January 29, 1965) is the former head College basketball, men's basketball coach of the East Carolina University East Carolina Pirates men's basketball, Pirates, having previously served as head coach from 1995 to 1999 and 2018-2022. Northern Kentucky Norse Men's Basketball
The Northern Kentucky Norse men's basketball team represents Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky, United States. The school's athletic program began a transition to NCAA Division I in the 2012–13 school year. For the first three seasons of the transition (through 2014–15), it was a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. In the final season of the transition in 2015–16, the Norse joined the Horizon League. The Norse were coached by John Brannen until April 14, 2019, when he left to take a job with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats.
