2020 WAC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2020 WAC men's basketball tournament was to be the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Western Athletic Conference during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season, 2019–20 season. All tournament games were to be played at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada, from March 12–14, 2020. The tournament champion would have received the WAC's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, 2020 NCAA tournament. On March 12, both the WAC Tournament and the NCAA Tournaments were cancelled amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, COVID-19 pandemic. Seeds 8 of the 9 teams in the WAC were eligible to compete in the conference tournament. California Baptist was ineligible due to their transition from Division II to Division I. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the The Orleans, Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming, Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. The arena was the home of the Las Vegas Wranglers ice hockey team from 2003 to 2014, the Las Vegas Gladiators arena football team in 2007, as well as the Las Vegas Sin Legends Football League, women's football team. 2019–20 Kansas City Roos Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Kansas City Roos men's basketball team represented the University of Missouri–Kansas City during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Roos, led by first-year head coach Billy Donlon, played their home games on-campus at Swinney Recreation Center in Kansas City, Missouri as a member of the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). The Roos finished the season 16–14, 8–7 in WAC play, to finish in fourth place. They were slated to be the fifth seed in the WAC tournament; however, the event was canceled as the initial breakout of the COVID-19 pandemic was commencing. The 2019–20 Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners men's basketball team represented California State University, Bakersfield in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
