2020 Liège–Bastogne–Liège (women's Race)
The 2020 Liège–Bastogne–Liège was a Belgium, Belgian road bicycle racing, road cycling one-day race that was originally scheduled for 26 April 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rescheduled to 4 October, and it was the 106th edition of Liège–Bastogne–Liège and part of the 2020 UCI World Tour. The race was won by Primož Roglič in a tumultuous sprint amongst a group of five riders, beating world champion Julian Alaphilippe, who already had put his hands in the air, in a photo finish. Alaphilippe, however, was later relegated to fifth place for hindering Marc Hirschi in the sprint. This moved Hirschi up into second, while 2020 Tour de France winner Tadej Pogačar was moved up into third. 2020 UCI World Tour
The 2020 UCI World Tour was a series of races that was scheduled to include thirty-six road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2020 in men's road cycling, 2020 cycling season. However, some of races were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour started with the opening stage of the 2020 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 21 January, and concluded with the final stage of the 2020 Vuelta a España, Vuelta a España on 8 November. Michał Kwiatkowski ( , born 2 June 1990) is a Polish professional road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Kwiatkowski is seen as a strong all rounder, with good sprinting, time-trialling and climbing abilities allowing him to win both stage races and one day classics. Tiesj Benoot (born 11 March 1994) is a Belgian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Lotto–Soudal (2015–19) Benoot turned professional with the Belgian UCI World Tour team in 2015, after riding for the outfit in 2013 and 2014, and riding some races as a stagiaire in autumn 2014. Michael Russell Woods (born 12 October 1986) is a Canadian professional racing cyclist, who rides for UCI ProTeam . An accomplished runner as well, Woods was the first person to have both run a sub-four-minute mile and complete the Tour de France. Career Athletics career Woods' first sport was ice hockey and his childhood ambition was to play as a left wing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Prior to becoming a cyclist, Woods was a promising middle-distance runner, setting Canadian national junior records in the mile and 3000 metres in 2005, as well as taking the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the 2005 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. 2020 Tour De France
The 2020 Tour de France was the 107th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tours. Originally scheduled to start on 27 June 2020, it was postponed until 29 August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France. The race began in Nice on 29 August and concluded with its traditional run on the Champs-Élysées on 20 September. A total of 176 riders from 22 teams participated in the race.
