2020 Conference USA Men's Soccer Season
The 2020 Conference USA men's soccer season is the 26th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The season was slated to begin on August 29, 2020 and conclude on November 14, 2020. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, COVID-19 pandemic, the season was postponed to begin on February 3, 2021, and conclude on April 17, 2021. Despite the delay, Kentucky, South Carolina, and UAB will be playing competitive fixtures during the fall season. Due to the pandemic, the regular season champion earned the league's automatic bid. 2020 Marshall Thundering Herd men's soccer team, Marshall, who won the conference, won the 2020 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship Game, national title game 1–0 in overtime over 2020 Indiana Hoosiers men's soccer team, Indiana. The South Carolina Gamecocks men's soccer team represents the University of South Carolina and, as of the 2022 college soccer season, competes in the Sun Belt Conference. The team is coached by Tony Annan, who succeeded Mark Berson as head coach after the 2020 season. Alumni Stadium (Notre Dame)
Alumni Stadium is the on-campus association football, soccer stadium in natural grass at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. The current tenants are the Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's soccer, Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's & Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's soccer, women's soccer teams. The 3,007 -seat stadium was built between April 26, 2008, and September 1, 2009. It was first used on September 4, 2009, when the women's team played North Carolina and the men's team played Wake Forest. Capacity is increased via a grass berm on the east end of the ground. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish men's soccer team represents the University of Notre Dame in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I men's soccer. Kentucky Wildcats Men's Soccer
The Kentucky Wildcats men's soccer team is an intercollegiate varsity sports team of the University of Kentucky (UK). Since the Southeastern Conference (SEC) does not sponsor men's soccer (minimum four schools needed to sponsor a sport, only two offer it), the team has been associate members of other conferences. From 1995 to 2004, it was a member of the Mid-American Conference. In 2005, UK moved men's soccer to Conference USA, creating a rivalry with fellow SEC member South Carolina, which had rejoined the reunified conference that season. Both UK and South Carolina remained in C-USA men's soccer through the 2021 season, after which both programs left for the newly reinstated men's soccer league of the Sun Belt Conference. Patrick Hogan (born September 17, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Indy Eleven in the USL Championship. Career Youth Hogan attended Charlotte Catholic High School and played club soccer as part of the USSF side Charlotte Soccer Academy. He was named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Best XI for the 2014 USSDA Summer Showcase. At high school Hogan earned Honor Roll all four years and was as a member of Charlotte Catholic's National Honor Society.
