2020 CAA Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2020 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Colonial Athletic Association for the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The tournament was held March 7–10, 2020 at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, D.C. Seeds All 10 CAA teams participate in the tournament. Teams are seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. The top six teams receive a bye to the quarterfinals. Entertainment And Sports Arena
CareFirst Arena, formerly the Entertainment and Sports Arena, is a multi-purpose events facility, located on the St. Elizabeths Hospital, St. Elizabeths East Campus, in Congress Heights, a residential neighborhood in southeast Washington, D.C. The arena is home to the Washington Mystics of the Women's National Basketball Association, WNBA and the Capital City Go-Go of the NBA G League. In addition, it houses a practice facility for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association, NBA. The arena was officially opened on September 22, 2018. The arena officially rebranded to CareFirst Arena on February 6, 2025. The Coastal Athletic Association men's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in basketball for the Coastal Athletic Association (formerly known as the Colonial Athletic Association). The tournament has been held every year since at least 1980; for the 1979-80 to 1984-85 seasons the conference was known as the ECAC South. The 2020 Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball tournament was a postseason women's basketball tournament for the Colonial Athletic Association for the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The tournament was scheduled to be held from March 11–14, 2020 at the Schar Center in Elon, North Carolina. The champion would have received the CAA's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The 2019–20 James Madison Dukes men's basketball team represented James Madison University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Dukes, led by fourth-year head coach Louis Rowe, played their home games at the James Madison University (JMU) Convocation Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia as members of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). The 2019–20 UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Wilmington during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.
