2020 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship
The 2020 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship was originally to be the 20th edition of the Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). The tournament was scheduled to be held in Tehran, Iran from 20 to 27 February 2021. It was originally scheduled to take place in Isfahan, Iran from 21 to 28 June 2020, but was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 14 December 2020, AVC announced that the tournament which was originally the AVC qualifier for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic and the top two teams of the 2018 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship qualified for the 2021 U21 World Championship as the AVC representatives. The Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 20 men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. Tournaments have been awarded every two years since 1980. The top two teams qualified for the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship. The current champion is Iran, which won its seventh title at the 2022 tournament. The 20 Asian Championship tournaments have been won by four different national teams: Iran have won seven times. 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship
The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the 21st edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Italy and Bulgaria from 23 September to 3 October 2021. For the first time, the tournament was jointly hosted by more than one country. Iran were the defending champions, having won their first title in Bahrain. Players must have been born on or after 1 January 2001. Qualification A total of 16 teams qualified for the final tournament.
