2019–20 Süper Lig
The 2019–20 Süper Lig, officially called the Süper Lig Cemil Usta season, was the 62nd season of the Süper Lig, the highest tier football league of Turkey. The season was named after Cemil Usta, a former Turkey national team player and Trabzonspor legend. Galatasaray were the defending champions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced on 12 March 2020 that matches would be played behind closed doors until the end of April, before indefinitely suspending matches altogether on 19 March. After a hiatus of nearly three months, the season resumed behind closed doors on 12 June 2020, with eight rounds still to play. The season ended with matches played on 26 July 2020, and without relegations. İstanbul Başakşehir clinched their first league title, on July 20, 2020 with a 1-0 win against Kayserispor, 1 week to spare. Bayrampaşa SK, formerly Bayrampaşaspor, is a Turkish professional football club located in the Bayrampaşa district of Istanbul. They currently play in the TFF Third League, the fourth tier of Turkish football. History In 1942 the club was founded as Sağmalcılar Youth Sports Club, in 1959 the name was changed to Bayrampaşa Youth Sports Club. The club has spent the majority of its history in the third division, between 1984 and 1994, before being relegated to the amateur divisions. In 2009, after 16 years, they returned to the fourth tier of Turkish football. Soon after, in May 2012 they beat Hacettepe S.K. by a score of 2–1, thereby being promoted back into the TFF Second League (after being out for 53 years). Kardemir Karabükspor
Kardemir Demir Çelik Karabükspor, known simply as Kardemir Karabükspor or Karabükspor, was a Turkish sports club based in Karabük. The team was founded in 1969 after a merger between "Karabük Gençlikspor" and "Demir Çelik Spor". The club had branches in football, wheelchair basketball and volleyball. The nickname of the club was ''Mavi Ateş'' (Blue Flame), based on the unfading blue flames of chimneys from the Kardemir iron-steel works located in the city. As the factory gives its name to the club, the team was regarded as a blue collar worker's team. The club finances collapsed during the 2017–18 Süper Lig season, setting the club on a path of constant relegation, losing almost every game as they could play nothing but amateur youth players. The club became unable to field teams and were ultimately banned from the amateur leagues which led to dissolution as a club. Elazığspor is a Turkish professional football club located in Elazığ and currently competes in the TFF Second League. They play their home games at Elazığ Atatürk Stadium in Elazığ, which has a maximum capacity of 18,423. The club was founded in 1967. They have also played in the Süper Lig many times in the past.
