2019–20 VCU Rams Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 VCU Rams men's basketball team represented Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Rams were by Mike Rhoades in his third season as head coach at VCU. The Rams played their home games at Siegel Center, Stuart C. Siegel Center in Richmond, Virginia as members of the Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10). VCU opened the season with a 6–0 record, making it the first time in program history for the Rams to win their first six games, and were ranked for the first time in three seasons. In February, however, VCU lost seven of their final nine games, giving the program its worst losing streak since the 1997–98 season. Mike Rhoades
Michael David Rhoades (born September 21, 1972) is an American basketball coach. He is the head men's basketball coach at Penn State University, where he was hired on March 29, 2023. Prior to his position at Penn State, Rhoades served as the head men's basketball coach at Randolph–Macon College from 1999 to 2009, at Rice University from 2014 to 2017, and at Virginia Commonwealth University from 2017 to 2023. Biography Playing career Rhoades played college basketball at Lebanon Valley College and led the team to the 1994 Division III national championship. A shooting guard, he still holds the records for assists, steals, and free-throw percentage. He also graduated as the college's all-time leading scorer. UCF Knights Men's Basketball
The UCF Knights men's basketball team represents The University of Central Florida, located in unincorporated Orange County, Florida near Orlando, United States. UCF competes in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and the Big 12 Conference. The Knights play their home games in the Addition Financial Arena located on the university's main campus. They are coached by Johnny Dawkins who was hired in 2016. Newton High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grades in Covington, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Newton County School System. Located thirty-two miles outside Atlanta, it is one of three schools serving Newton County. The school serves 2,000 students in grades 9–12. Covington, Georgia
Covington is a city in the U.S. state of Georgia and the seat of Newton County, and is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2020 census, its population was 14,192. The power forward (PF), also known as the four, is one of the five traditional Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. Massanutten Military Academy
Massanutten Military Academy (MMA) is a coeducational military school for grades 8 through 12 and one academic postgraduate year, located in Woodstock, Virginia, United States. History 19th century Massanutten Military Academy, named for the nearby mountain, was established by the Virginia Classis of the Reformed Church in 1899. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time.
